Parent Preparation Course

Parent Preparation Course

The transition to parenthood can be overwhelming, and young parents often experience feelings of isolation and loneliness, especially during parental leave when they may have limited social interactions. Adequate support during the early stages of parenting facilitates bonding and attachment between parents and their infants. Providing support and regular connection can help alleviate feelings of loneliness and improve mental health outcomes for both parents and their infants/children.

Our parent preparation course is carefully designed to help those families who are expecting a child or considering becoming pregnant. This half day course offers meaningful information about how to prepare for your baby after birth and delivery, how to create a home environment to support infant development and create secure attachment. This course recognizes the massive change that occurs when a baby enters into a new family and the huge shift that happens for the parents.
